Beat the heat. One of the best ways to beat the heat this summer is to spend as much time outdoor as possible. Especially if you have a backyard that has a swimming pool, use your outdoor kitchen to prepare fast meals such as burgers and hot dogs for your family members and friends. Not only will you be able to finally use your outdoor kitchen, but you will also be able to beat the heat by the pool if you have one in your backyard. If you do not have a swimming pool, an inflatable one will work just fine.
An excuse to cook healthier meals. Most outdoor kitchens are equipped with a grill, whether coal, gas or electric. Cooking outdoor during summer will allow you to use your grill to make healthier meals such as grilled chicken, steak and vegetables, versus the greasier fried meals that are often cooked indoor.
Volunteer to host a party. Whether it’s a baby shower, birthday party or anniversary celebration, volunteer to host an event on behalf of a friend or family member. This will allow you to show off your outdoor kitchen and put it to good use.
Get physically active. Spend a few hours outdoor this summer by engaging in more outdoor activities. Your outdoor kitchen can serve as the hub for hydration and an area to grab snacks.
Cook as a group. If your indoor kitchen is small, your outdoor kitchen might offer a lot more room to cook a meal as a family. Set up prep stations on folding tables outside and engage everyone in the family. After the meals have been prepared, you can all enjoy a few games such as Charades and Pictionary.
